Drum.Dance.Sing.Silence. Join me for the day before my birthday celebration by dancing with me as I premiere my first Self-Created Nia Kata! This routine is inspired by a dance theater production I wrote, directed and choreographed many years ago. There is nothing I would rather do to celebrate my 39th year than to feel my full-on girlpower with the greatest women I know! Come explore many dance styles to the musical stylings of Ani DiFranco, Tori Amos, India Arie, Queen Latifah/Mony Love, LeeAnn Womack, Deanna Carter, Peggy Lee, Mahalia Jackson, Cheryl Lynn, Donna Summer, Aretha Franklin and Annie Lennox.

All people are invited to join in this monthly celebration of life as we gather for fun and creative movement that is just the right blend of easy guided movement, danceplay and freedance then share in nourishing food and fellowship. For those who chose to not dance during the session, there will be board games, art activites and books to keep you connected while you enjoy the experience in your own way. The "Upper Room" is equipped with bathrooms, water fountains and a kitchen. EveryBODY is welcome, so bring your family, friends, neighbors...as we support the growing wave of conscious movement, nutrition and community in good ole big "D."
